System components
Vehicle, ground station, and network services
DroneConnect links an unmanned vehicle with an Android ground-control station. A companion PC on the vehicle connects the autopilot, cameras, and data links, sending video and MAVLink telemetry to the operator while receiving RC commands. The system can use local or Internet-based connections, including a ground relay when video and telemetry need to reach multiple stations.
Onboard component
Streams video to the GCS, forwards MAVLink telemetry, and routes RC commands to the autopilot.
Companion PC
Android GCS
Provides video, telemetry, and RC controls on Android devices.
Ground control
Connections
Supports WWAN, Starlink and wireless IP bridges between onboard components and GCSs.
Local and Internet
Capabilities
Streams H.264/H.265 video from multiple cameras, provides picture-in-picture, and supports one or multiple data links with automatic failover.
